Getting to the REAL truth

Add the figures & lies about staff

We have tried to get a response from Academy bosses regarding the employment of staff but with no response, if anybody has more up to date contacts for the bosses please pass them on.

Late last year pupils were assured (current year 10 especially) that they would have no disruption and have the same teachers in year 11. This is clearly another lie from Douggie and friends. It has transpired that some teachers are not going to be in the Academy, if it happens, come September. How the hell can they be allowed to tell bare faced lies then go back on them? Even the Mail has reported both facts, but not linked them, so how can this carry on?

The overwhelming amount of parents, staff and children involved are totally against the opening in September so HOW in a DEMOCRATIC society can the project go ahead. If it does then clearly the AUTOCRACY of Cumbria County Council is proven and the whole system of county rule on such schemes should be reviewed. Let’s face it the County want the land the Schools are on to pay the debts of the unfair pay compensation.

The land the Academy sites lie on are valued at around £75,000,000 in total. £45,000,000 goes in to the pot for the new build, £120,000,000 in total. Then around £10,000,000 for the upgrades at St Bernards and Walney. £130,000,000 in total.

Use the £10,000,000 on the upgrades as expected to existing Schools and the £45,000,000 on Academy new build  as projected plus £20,000,000 worth of land used in the Academy site. That leaves £55,000,000 of unused land. Under the laws governing Academies this land then passes back to the local authority.

Basically to break things down. CCC Forces this Academy on us stating we will get £55,000,000 in total for the buildings. Cumbria CC gains £55,000,000 from the government for building them, we get the Academy and expanded current Schools. The CCC now claim back the surplus land. Our net gain is £0 plus a failing new Academy. CCC is up £55,000,000 government is down £55,000,000. In a financial sense we don’t lose or gain. The inherent lie all along is that WE will lose out on the investment in the town unless we do what we are told, the TRUE fact is that the County Council will gain £55,000,000 and we gain nothing. These figures are approximate but only due to the changes in land values changing.

If ANYBODY from CCC is willing to talk or dispute any of the above and we will gladly post it unedited.
