Misinformation!!

The Mail has quoted several people in the Academy debacle of blaming the strikes and protests against the Academy of following misinformation from websites such as this. The only people misinforming those people are the Mail and the Academy!

Headline from this evenings Mail states “Government insists Furness Academy is best way forward” and goes on to say “The Department for Children, Schools and Families still says the proposed academy is the way forward to transform education in the town” the article says “A spokesman for the Department for Children, Schools and Families said: “The department is working closely with the relevant parties to resolve the concerns raised by students.”

The spokesman is not named, what is the betting that it is Moira Swann? That would cover the title and as usual the Mail is using ambiguous quotes.

We have passed on genuine information from genuine sources who do not wish to be named. We already know that workers in certain departments have been gagged from expressing a personal opinion (illegal under European law) and that the people that be are also trying to root out the people that are exposing the truth! Again under the “whistle blower laws” this is illegal. We are building a strong case of illegal activities from all levels of the Council and will pass all information forward to an appropriate body once the investigations are complete.

ANYBODY who feels that their rights to free speech are being abused should contact us in confidentiality.

We are not trying to misinform anybody, we are trying to pass on what is being withheld, nothing more nothing less. We are not saying an Academy should never happen, but if is to happen it should be done properly and CANNOT open in September.

Parents and children carry on the fight, do not be misled as the Academy bosses have told you, DO NOT listen to THEM!
