We received the following message today regarding taking action over the Academy. We will get the details passed on to the parents groups as requested as soon as we can. If anybody can do the same before us, please feel free to do so.

"Hi,

I have a child in one of the current schools due to close. I have noticed that the powers that be are being very quiet lately, probably working behind the scenes to power the academy through without letting any of us know what is going on. As the protests so far seem to fall on deaf ears as the council clearly had their minds made up from day 1 what was going to happen, I for one am prepared to take the protests a stage further.

The way I see things is that the people who are forcing this mess on us have their wages paid by us. We are unhappy with their work so we refuse to pay them until they listen to reason. I have cancelled my direct debit for council tax and will not pay it again until somebody listens. If enough people do the same the bureaucrats will have to listen and take action.

I am not a rebel normally but this is being railroaded through against the wishes of the people. I might get fined or whatever happens but if the message gets across then it will be worth it.

If you could print this letter but not my name it would be appreciated. I cannot join the facebook or bebo groups as I only have internet at work so could you pass what I have said on to the parent groups on there as well please.
