Apologies, due to personal circumstances my wife and I have not been able to post much over the last week or so. There are quite a few points that have been brought to us that we will be pursuing over the coming days though. We have been keeping an eye on matters and most of the main points have been brought up by either the Mail or on furnessacademy.com. We are trying to concentrate on getting articles to you that are not already covered elsewhere. Some of these take time to put together, to get inputs from various parties etc so we are not always up to the minute. We are trying to put together articles that are as unbiased as the input we receive.

Our main reason for starting the site was simply for unreported news and issues in the Evening Mail in the local area of which there are A LOT. The overwhelming views on the Academy have taken precedence due to the current on going situation. This will probably have a major focus over the coming weeks also but if you have any other matters on any subject we are keen to get them pushed forward. If you have a problem with drug dealers in your area or teens roaming the streets and causing distress or ANY matter that bothers you then get in touch.

At the moment people are clicking on us to check for Academy updates, so keep them clicking by bringing up more local issues. We will be in town on Friday for the demonstration and will resume normal service by then!

As for the Friday protests, we have contacted most media organisations and asked the BBC to place a national as well as regional crew to the event. Many of the mainstream media are planning to attend unless there is a reason to redeploy staff. Be there at the town hall or be sucked in by Moira and Dougies  lies.
