Douggie is off to London shortly to discuss the funding agreement behind the academy. As we understand things this is not a usual occurrence in academy creation, it would appear to be a crisis meeting.

Obviously nobody knows the outcome of the meeting until it happens but it is a pretty important development as it is either make or break for the whole project. It is either the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning!

We will just have to wait a few more days to find the result but from the talk coming out of schools things are looking a bit more hopeful.

The head of Parkview has said IF the academy does not happen then they will open as normal in September, Alfred Barrow are gearing up for a normal September and presumably so are Thorncliffe. The people pushing the project forward have gone quiet also, so either they are keeping quiet as they have a lot going on behind the scenes that they want keeping quiet or they have reason to keep quiet for a different reason. It should also be noted that according to reports we have had that Moira Swann is on sick leave which may or may not be related to the stress behind the project, that is pure speculation.

Anyway we will have the details as they come out over the next few days or weeks……
