Academy Uniform Farce

We have information from people in the know, despite the assurances from Mr Blackledge that this is not the case, the Furness Academy uniforms were ordered several weeks ago.

There is currently a competition being run involving pupils and parents from various schools to ‘choose’ the new uniform. The idea being that the locals have a choice on their future but as usual it is all lies coming from the very top. As usual your local favourite, The Evening Mail, has failed to inform its readers of anything. It allowed some posts on the forum but censored many more from people that have in formed us their posts have been edited or not posted at all.

How can these people have any respect from the students, parents or staff when they a blatantly lying to us all and treating us like idiots. The lack of any action from the Evening Mail once again call in to question who it is they are trying to serve, the majority of the local population? It would seem not. Covering the a***es of the overpaid top dogs of the town trying to get power? It would seem so.

As stated before, we have no bias against the Academy or anything else. But when it comes to lies from the top then we will expose them. The Academy is a hot topic at the moment, whether you support it or are against it and this is simply not being given the coverage it deserves given the strength of feeling that is surrounding it right now.

There has been no true discussion over it, the logo farce and competition was a joke. That was designed by an outside company and decided on before the competition. Now they deny that the current uniform has been decided upon yet it has been already ordered. When will this stop?
